Al Anderson is an American-born songwriter and guitarist. He was a member of Wailers Band and played on several albums in the early and mid-1970s. He later left the group to join Peter Tosh. Some notable guitar work was done on 1975's Bob Marley & The Wailers Live!, recorded in London. Al started his music career as guitar technician for Duane Allman of the Allman Brothers Band where he learned his slide guitar techiques. Al joined Bob Marley before the Natty Dread album (at the same time as keyboardist Tyrone Downie) and has recorded 14 albums with the Wailers.
