The Second Annual Latin Grammy Awards winners were announced during a press conference October 30, 2001 at the Conga Room in Los Angeles, California. The awards were to have been presented in Los Angeles, CA with a CBS national telecast September 11, 2001, but the telecast was cancelled because of terrorist attacks that morning in New York City, Arlington, Virginia, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
