Patty Larkin (b. June 19, 1951, Des Moines, Iowa)[1] is a Boston-based singer-songwriter. Patty grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in a musically-oriented family of Irish-American origin. At the age of seven, Patty began learning classical piano. In high school she began teaching herself guitar and writing songs. She began performing during college, in coffeehouses in Oregon and San Francisco. During the 1980s she moved to Boston, Massachusetts, playing music on the streets of Cambridge and training in jazz guitar at Berklee College of Music. Her recording career began during this time.[2]
