Giorgio Gaber, byname of Giorgio Gaberscik (January 25, 1939 - January 1, 2003), was an Italian singer-songwriter, actor and playwright. He was also an accomplished guitar player and author of one of the first rock songs in Italian ("Ciao ti dirò", 1958). The beginning of his career, start in 1954 with the famous Ghigo Agosti as the first rock Italian guitarist on rhythm and blues sound from American big band. The official debut was in the Jazz Festival of Milan (1954); after this event, for two years with Ghigo play in north italy in various music places.
