Trío femenino formado por Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena y Siobhan Donaghy, aunque esta última se marchó en 2001 y fue sustituida por Heidi Range que había formado parte de las originales Atomic Kitten.Siobhan Donaghy conoció a Mutya Buena y a Keisha Buchanan, que entonces tenían 12 años, en un "garage party" en el que las tres hablaban de las típicas preocupaciones adolescentes. El trío decidió llamarse Sugababes por su afición a los chupachups y las golosinas durante sus largos ensayos al salir de clase. El primer single, "Overload" (1 millón de copias), llegó a la sexta posición del chart inglés y fue nominada a un premio Brit, los Grammy ingleses. Otras canciones que entraron en el Top 40 de Reino Unido son "New Year", "Run for Cover" y "Soul Sound". Su primer álbum One Touch (2001) contiene doce canciones que sugieren una madurez que contrasta con la juventud del grupo. En el 2002 sale a la venta el álbum Angels with dirty faces (1.500.000 copias). Contiene gran variedad de estilos: R&B, rock, hip-hop y garage. Al año siguiente publican Heads Up, para el que contaron con la ayuda de grandes compositores como, John Rockstar, Brian Higgins, Guy Sigsworth, entre otros. El esperadísimo quinto trabajo del grupo, primero para la vocalista Amelle Berrabah con el grupo, se tituló Change y salió a finales del 2007. Los singles fueron "About You Now", "Change" y "Denial".El sexto disco del grupo, Catfights & Spotlights (2008) cuyo primer single fue "Girls", seguido de "No can do".
